Life is raw and hard for so many these days. But a 5-year-old child in Philadelphia, who we call Super Jack, got a break on Friday, and we should celebrate with him.

Super Jack got diagnosed with leukemia two and a half years ago and while he has been in remission for the last two years, he has continued rough treatment regimens ever since. His treatments were supposed to continue for one more year, but last week Jack and his family got the news that the doctors around the country were comfortable that chemo could stop !!
Jack’s mom Katie Baer is the Executive Director of our Entrepreneurs Organization chapter in Philadelphia. We dropped off a few bottles of "mommy and daddy juice" for her and her husband on Friday night to celebrate this momentous occasion. As we arrived at the front door, Super Jack proudly announced, "no more yucky medicine !!"
Check out this picture of Super Jack on Friday night celebrating his good news and getting ready to dig into a platter of sushi. His little t-shirt appropriately says, "no mo chemo !!” Let’s send some love to Super Jack and his family in the comments below.

Great story ! God Bless you Super Jack! Huge accomplishment!
Thanks for sharing this, Ami. As the uncle to an amazing young woman who was diagnosed with cancer shortly after her 19th birthday, I'll never forget the relief, joy and explosion of tears when, after months of chemo and other treatment, she sent us a selfie holding a sign that send "July 30, 2017, cancer free!" I am eternally grateful for our good luck, but even more for the deeper empathy I feel for families in this kind of crisis, including the millions affected (often needlessly, thanks to the feckless response by the Trump administration) by COVID-19.
Yaaay Super Jack! Congrats to Jack and his parents. Enjoy your sushi! 💛
God Bless!!! Congrats!
